A curriculum that builds forward, not sideways
From our Day Care Campus through to Grade 7, every stage at Riverside Square Academy is chosen and sequenced to prepare learners for the next step.
Day Care Campus
Full-day early childhood care built around play-based stimulation and consistent daily routines. This is where lifelong learning habits begin — and where our staff-to-child ratios matter most.
- •
Babies & Toddlers
Nurturing daily care routines in a safe, closely supervised setting.
- •
Playschool
Structured play-based early stimulation and social development.
- •
Grade R Readiness
A school-readiness programme preparing learners for Grade RR at Campus 2.
Grade RR – Grade 7 Campus
A CAPS-aligned curriculum, structured study periods, and dedicated transition support through to Grade 7 — the exit year before high school.
- •
Foundation Phase (Grade RR–3)
Structured literacy and numeracy, delivered in small, closely supported classes.
- •
Intermediate Phase (Grade 4–6)
Broadening subject choice with a strong emphasis on independent study skills.
- •
Grade 7 Exit Year
Dedicated transition support and guidance placing learners into high school.
Enrichment, sport & culture
Structured learning is only one half of each campus's offering. The rest happens in play areas, on the field, on stage, and in club rooms after the final bell.
Day Care Campus Enrichment
Daily play-based development — music and movement, outdoor free play, and early sensory activities suited to each age group.
Grade RR–7 Sport, Culture & Clubs
Inter-house leagues across athletics, netball, soccer, and mini-cricket, plus debate, choir, coding club, and a termly arts showcase.
Feedback that informs, not just grades that record
At Campus 1, we track developmental milestones and share them with parents continuously. At Campus 2, formal assessments are reported each term, but teachers track progress continuously too — parents are never surprised by a report card at Riverside Square Academy.
